Saturday August 12th, 2006 was the start of a busy Weekend for our Station. At about 8 A.M., the station was alerted for a Subject Not Breathing on Society Hill Pl. B-14 responded with 3, along with A149 and PA148. Later that afternoon, The station was alerted for An ALS Injured subject. A149 and PA148 responded, and shortly after arriving on the scene requested a helicopter. B-14 responded to set up the LZ. On Sunday August 13th, we started off at approx 8 P.M. when we were alerted for our Engine to respond to Bel Alton for an Unauthorized Fire (Eng 101 on the scene with a house on the ground on fire). We responded with Engine 141 and Engine 143, total manning of 8. E-141 and E-143 operated on the scene for about 1 1/2 hours. E-141 was then started towards La Plata by Communications for a Working Building Fire. The location was the Spring Dell Center on Radio Station Road. E-141 staged for about 10 minutes, where they were then released by the La Plata Command. 141 then Transferred for a Fill In at Station 10. E-141 stood by for about 1 1/2 hours. While E-143 was en route back to quarters, they were started along with PA148 for a Priority One Overdose. PA148 transported Priority One to Civista. While PA148 was returning from CMC, they were started back towards Bel Alton, for a reported MVA involving a Motorcycle. A149 and PA148 responded on the call. A149 was placed in service, and PA148 assisted A109 with flying the patient out. Then on Monday the 14th, at about 1:30 A.M., our B-Unit was alerted for a Brush Fire on Cobb Island (Potomac River Drive) After responding for about 2 minutes, E-64 went on the scene with an Abandoned house Well Off. Station 14 (Fire and EMS) was re-alerted for the Working House Fire. B-14 quickly returned for the Engine. E-143 responded with 4, and operated on the scene for about 1 hour and 45 minutes, where they were then released by the Cobb Island Command. 149 was placed in service while en route. A Job Well Done by all of the volunteers for their response to the Emergencies over this busy weekend!!!
