By Fire Lieutenant Jeff Hammett
March 16, 2007

At approximately 2240 Hours Engine Company 14, EMS 15, PA 148, and PA 518 was alerted for the stabbing in the 13400 block of Budds Creek Road. Units were advised to stage in the area until the scene was secure. After the scene was secured by the CCSO, they advised they had a total of 3 patients. Engine 141 established the Budds Creek Road Command. Units confirmed three patients, 2 being stable Priority 2 patients with multiple injuries and one deceased on the scene. Helicopters were requested for the 2 patients, and Trooper 2 advised they were going to attempt the mission due to the weather. Due to the combined weight of both patients, U.S. Park Police Eagle 2 was started as well. St. Mary's Eng. 24 handled the Landing Zone at Budds Creek Road and Marsh Court. The first patient was transported to the LZ by PA-518 and was taken by Trooper 2 to P.G. Hospital Priority 2. The second patient was transported to the LZ by Amb. 158 with the medic from PA-148 on board, and was also taken to P.G. Hospital Priority 2 by U.S. Park Police Eagle 2. After the Engine crew loaded both patients into the ambulances, they went to the LZ to assist St. Mary's Engine 24. Command was terminated and units from Station 14 returned to quarters at 2332 hours. Thanks to all units on the scene for a job well done, also PA-38 for filling in at Station 14 and also many Thanks goes out to St. Mary's Engine 24 for Handling the LZ. Our thoughts and prayers goes out to the family members/friends of all 3 victims.
