| It is with deep sadness and regret that the Newburg Volunteer Rescue Squad and Fire Department and Auxiliary announces the passing of Active Life Member/Secretary Sandra "Sandy" Sherman. Sandy passed in the early morning hours on today's date.
Sandy was an active member of our department since 1990 and throughout the following years held line officer positions on the EMS Division, as well as serving as Secretary and on the Board of Directors at various times, even serving up until the time of her passing. Sandy also served on many committees throughout the years and will leave an imprint on the many lives she has touched and friends and family she had throughout the years.
At this time, no funeral arrangements have been made, nor has a request been made for a Fireman's Funeral. The family should be meeting in the near future to discuss options. As soon as more information becomes available, we will be sure to pass along any needs and arrangements.
