On sunday afternoon at about 1522 hours, Station 14 was alerted to the 14700 block of South Cuckold Creed Road for a reported brush fire near the water. The caller also reported hearing some explosions and can now see smoke. Engine 144 responded with 2, arriving on the scene along with B-6. CH14-B requested 2 more brush trucks, bringing B-14 with the Fire Chief and 104 to the call. Units operated on scene for approx. 1 1/2 hours. During this incident, both Co 6 & 14's boats were alerted for a boat call and responded, getting placed in service.
