June 28, 2010
On June 28th, 2010 three of the 4 members of the EMS Utility Committee travled 4 1/2 hours to KME/Kovatch in Nesquehoning, PA. to do the first inspection of our new EMS Utility. The truck just arrived at the factory and we discussed the layout of the compartments, paint scheme and emergency equipment layout. It should only be about another month before we travel back for the final inspection and can bring it back home. The unit will match the current color scheme/layout of the current ambulances and is a 2011 F-350 Lariat crew cab 4X4 pickup. It will replace the current EMS Car which is a 1995 Crown Victoria. The Current EMS car will be utilized for classes/training, etc. The committee members that went were Lisa Yates, George Hayden and Andrew Spalding.
