The Newburg Volunteer Rescue Squad & Fire Department sends our condolences to the friends and family of Burton 'Burt' Sherman, who passed away on Sunday September 27th, 2009. He was the husband of Life member of our department, and also a member of Dentsville EMS, Sandy Sherman. Burt was laid to rest on Friday October 2nd, 2009 at the Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD. Burt was a very big supporter of our department, often seen helping at MANY of our fundraisers at the station to offer his help in any way we needed him to. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, and we thank his family and Sandy for sharing him with us here at the department. May you rest in Peace, Burt, as we all know you are no longer suffering. Thank you for all you did for us here at the station, and we love and miss you!
