On Saturday March 22nd, 2008 members from Station 14 held a Car Wash at the station from 9 a.m. till 2 p.m., and the Auxiliary held a Bake Sale in front of Dan's Store from 8 a.m. until they sold out (About 12 p.m.). Both events were very successful with great turnouts. Also, while the events were going on, Co. 14 was alerted for several calls for service. Engine 144 responded with 2, along with Chief 14 to a brush fire in front of the Elk's Lodge, shortly followed by Engine 143 responding with 4, A-149 and PA-148 responding to an Unknown Medical Emergency. Engine 143 then responded back to the Elk's Lodge for a reported rekindle after a citizen stopped by the station to report it. We would like to thank the members that came out and helped with the 2 events, and also riding the apparatus while the event was going on.
