Fire Prevention at Higdon Elementary and Career Day at Piccowaxen

On Thursday October 27th, 2011 from 0730-1530 hours, members of our department went to Higdon Elementary School for Fire Prevention. As always, a great time was had and many kids learned about things ranging from Stop, Drop and Roll, EDITH, 9-1-1, crawling and watching a Fireman getting dressed. Children also had the opportunity to look over our apparatus. Many thanks to Cobb Island VFD and EMS and the Bel Alton Fire Dept for your participation and support to our department and the children.
On Friday October 28th, 2011, our department went to Piccowaxen to talk to the Children for Career Day. Again, much information was passed along and a great time was had.
Thanks to both schools for putting on a great breakfast and lunch for our volunteers!
