I would like to thank your department for your assistance on a large brush fire on 12/19/2011. You not only assisted with the fire but also spent several hours assisting us with getting our brush truck out of the mud where it was stuck. Just thought I'd say hello. I'm actually the step-son of Ed Van Cleaf, the first chief of the rescue squad. I took my first CPR class in the original trailer behind the truck stop. Glad to see that the squad kept going. It was desparately needed down there. Newburg was a nice place to grow up and the formation of the resue squad just made it safer.
