JUNE 20 - The Newburg Volunteer Rescue Squad & Fire Department would like to congratulate Brandy & Jonathan Rager on the birth of their first Child. Carter Lindel Rager was born on June 19, 2009 at 7:04 am. He weighed 7 lbs 6.4 oz. All three are doing well and we wish them the best of luck.... (Full Story & Photos)

Firefighter Jimmy Hurst Graduates From Boot Camp

MAY 15 - Firefighter Jimmy Hurst has graduated boot camp for the United States Navy in Great Lakes, Ill. He will now be headed to Pensicola, Florida for training in Aviation Electronics. Congratulations Jimmy, we are all proud of you and can't wait until you can make your return to the Bunkroom Crew. Another Working Barn Fire in St. Marys County

MAY 14 - At around 2318 hours Charles County dispatched Engine Companies 14, 2 and Tanker 10 for mutual to St. Marys County at 27300 James Road in Mechanicsville for the shed fire. Engine 143 responded with 5 volunteers along with Chief 14B in buggy. Mechanicsville Engine 23 arrived on the scene and advised they had a working barn fire. Working Barn Fire in St. Marys County

MAY 13 - At around 0522 hours Engine Company 14 was alerted for mutual aid to St. Marys County in the 36800 block of Holly Field Ln in Chaptico for the working barn fire. Engine 143 responded with 4 volunteers. Units from St. Marys arrived on the scene and advised they had a pole barn filled with hay well off. Engine 143 was third arriving engine and asisted companies 5 and 1 with extinguishment and overhaul. ... (Full Story & Photos)

APRIL 29 - Well this is the picture that we all have been waiting for!! Even though we ran into a minor set back the boat should be 100% in about a week. I want to thank each and everyone of you who showed up the night the boat was delivered and especially for all the members who came out for the the sea trial.
