Firefighter/EMT Andrew Spalding, April 10

The Newburg Vol. Rescue Squad and Fire Department will hold a super bingo on Friday April 10th, 2015. It will benefit the SMVFA 2015 Convention, being hosted by our department this year.

Doors will open at 5:30 pm, Early birds will start at 6:45 pm with regular games starting at 7:00 pm.

Bel Alton first due working commerical building fire

On March 14, 2015 at approx. 04:30 hrs, Station 14 was alerted to 9100 block of Crain Highway in Co. 10's area for the reported commercial building fire. Engine 101 arrived on the scene to find fire showing. Chief 10B arrived on the scene and had the Crain Highway Command. Engine 143 responded with 5 volunteers. First due tractor trailer on fire

On March 09, 2015 at approx. 16:35 hrs, Station 14 was alerted for a large vehicle fire. Engine 143 responded with 4 volunteers. Engine 143 arrived on scene to find part of the tractor trailer on fire. Crews from Engine 143 and Engine 102 worked to extinguished the fire.... (Full Story & Photos)

Company 14 First Due Working Shed Fire

On Jan 09, 2015 at approx. 16:35 hrs, Station 14 was alerted for a structure fire on Swindler Rd. Engine 143 responded with 4 volunteers. Chief 10-B arrived on scene and reported a working shed fire and established the Swindler Road Command. Engine 143 arrived on scene and laid 100' of 3" and pulled 200' of attack lines. The Newburg Volunteer Rescue Squad & Fire Department is going to take Santa for a ride on the apparatus. The run will start at about 5:00 pm and the list below are the neighborhoods we will be visiting. Any questions please the station at 301-259-2105.
