Many citizens may have seen or heard one of our ambulances was involved in a motor vehicle accident today. That is indeed true, as the accident occurred at Crain Highway and Berry Road. It was on the way back from the shop, there were no injuries, and no members were involved in the incident. MVC Extrication in Co. 6 First Due

On Friday, July 14th at approximately 11:12 hrs, Rescue Engine 141 and Paramedic Ambulance 149 operated at the scene, among many other units, of an auto accident on Rock Point Road in the area of Kings Farm Road today in Co. 6's area at approximately 11:15 hours. Co. 6 First Due Working Barn Fire

On Saturday, July 1st at approximately 19:54 hrs, Station 14 was alerted for Structure Barn Fire in Co. 6's first due. Engine 143 responded with a total crew of 5 with Chief 14. Engine 143 was the first arriving unit on scene, layed out approximately 1000 feet of 4' supply line. On arrival we found two barns on the ground that were involved in the fire. On Friday April 28th, Saturday April 29th and Sunday April 30th, 2017 the Newburg Volunteers headed to Potomac Heights VFD and EMS and the Huntingtown VFD in Calvert County for the events of the Annual Installation of the Ladies Auxiliary to the SMVFA and 70th Annual Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen's Association Convention. On Saturday February 11th, 2017 the Newburg Volunteer Rescue Squad and Fire Department will host the Stone Pleasure Band for a Valentine's Dance! They are a local band playing old and new R&B! Tickets are $20 in advance or at the door. You must be 21 to enter, and it is BYOB! From 7p.m. to 8 p.m. we will have a DJ and food included (while it lasts).
