2017 SMVFA Convention

On Friday April 28th, Saturday April 29th and Sunday April 30th, 2017 the Newburg Volunteers headed to Potomac Heights VFD and EMS and the Huntingtown VFD in Calvert County for the events of the Annual Installation of the Ladies Auxiliary to the SMVFA and 70th Annual Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen's Association Convention. Stone Pleasure Band!

On Saturday February 11th, 2017 the Newburg Volunteer Rescue Squad and Fire Department will host the Stone Pleasure Band for a Valentine's Dance! They are a local band playing old and new R&B! Tickets are $20 in advance or at the door. You must be 21 to enter, and it is BYOB! From 7p.m. to 8 p.m. we will have a DJ and food included (while it lasts). Today, members went to pick up Life Member and Past President Ronnie Wright to take him to his son, past member Chris Wright's, grave site. Santa's Workshop

On Saturday December 10th, 2017 our department held it's annual Santa's Workshop! Santa visited and took pictures with the kids and the kids got to make crafts such as decorated ornaments, letters to Santa, play games, and have snacks! Passing of Life Member Mary Kay Waugh

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts, the Newburg Volunteers regrets to announce the passing of Life Member Mary Kay Waugh. Mary Kay faithfully served the community through EMS for 21 years, after joining our department in September of 1995. Mary Kay was also a member of the Charles County Mobile Intensive Care Unit.
