Working House Fire in 6's Area

JANUARY 13 - At 0943, the Engine and Medic Unit from Company 14 were alerted to CO. 6's first due for the working house fire at 13132 Sankston Place. Engine 143 responded with 2 volunteers with the B-Chief. E-143 was first on the scene just ahead of E-61 to find heavy fire throughout a single family residence with an attached garage. MVA with One on its Side

JANUARY 12 - ENGINE 143 and PA-148 were alerted at 2037hrs for a reported MVA in the area of Morgantown Road and Waverly Point Road. Engine 143 and CHIEF 14B responded with 4 volunteers. Engine 143 arrived on location with a pickup truck on its side with a utility pole cut in half. Station 14 Runs Back to Back Gas Leaks in Co.6's First Due

JANUARY 04 - At 1046hrs, Engine Co.14 was alerted to 14485 Forest Road for the Gas Leak inside a single family residence. Engine 143 and Chief 14B responded with 5 volunteers. Engine 143 arrived on the scene just ahead of Engine 61 to find a strong odor of fuel oil throughout the entire house. No other reading were showing on the meter. Chief 6B had Command, Chief 14B had Operations.

Lighting of the Christmas Tree at Cliffton with Santa!!!

DECEMBER 06 - On December 6, 2009 The Newburg Volunteer Rescue Squad & Fire Department and Santa participated in the lighting of the Christmas Tree at Cliffton. There were many kids who gathered to come and tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas. There was Cookies and Hot Chocolate served for everyone to enjoy. OCTOBER 28 - On Wednesday October 28, 2009 the Newburg Volunteer Rescue Squad & Fire Dept. Company 14, with help from our neighboring companies Cobb Island Volunteer Fire Dept. & EMS Company 6 & BelAlton Volunteer Fire Dept.
